Yoga is a broad, holistic discipline designed to promote the union and integration of Mind and Body.
A “self care system” ideal for those seeking stress relief, restoration, clarity of mind and a calm nervous system while simultaneously promoting strength, fitness and balanced energy levels. Regular practice helps build good daily habits – which ultimately improves health, inner harmony and steadiness.
This 1/2 day course is co-operative, explorative and fun and is suitable for new or experienced practitioners of yoga or meditation.
The workshop consists of a series of short lectures, followed by the exploration of a variety of simple (yet powerful) mindfulness practices followed by group discussions that include the opportunity for students to ask questions.
Mind-Body Yoga! is a great introduction to the system of yoga providing a good foundation from which to further explore the discipline.

The viniyoga approach to teaching yoga
The term viniyoga has been used by T.K.V. Desikachar (son of Sri Tirumalai Krishnamacharya) to describe his approach to utilizing the tools of yoga, in particular his conviction that yoga practice should be adapted to fit the individuality and particular situation of each practitioner.
Our teachers have trained extensively with this approach as the primary focus and teach in the lineage of Sri Tirumalai Krishnamacharya.
“Teach what is inside you, not as it applies to you, to yourself, but as it applies to the other”.
Yoga should always be adapted to the needs, circumstances and goals of each individual, never the individual to fit the yoga.
